I Rock Pink
The 2013 I Rock Pink Gala was held on Friday May 10, 2013 at the Grand Empire Banquet Hall. Preet Magnat and her brother, Gurvinder Magnat, hosted a full crowd of guests and a wide variety of entertainment for an evening of education and support. Corporate sponsors RBC Royal Bank and Royal Star Realty Inc. helped to make the night a great success. Thank you also goes out to all table and media sponsors for their contributions towards the evening. The funds raised from the 2013 I Rock Pink Gala will support Short Term Counseling and Support Groups for families living with a cancer diagnosis.

Evening of Hope
The 9th Annual Evening of Hope was held on Sunday April 14, 2013 at the North Bramalea United Church. JC Chessel, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33, was the keynote speaker and shared her story and feelings from her journey to the 300 guests in attendance.

Caledon Circle of Hope
On Sunday, April 14, the Caledon Breast Cancer Foundation hosted its first Annual Caledon Circle of Hope. The Circle of Hope brought people together that have been touched by cancer, along with friends and families to share stories of hope and survival. It was an evening filled with laughter, education, and tears. The keynote speaker Dr. Sandy Sehdev, the Director of Clinical Trials & Oncology Education and Director of Cancer Advocacy Coalition of Canada at William Osler Heath Centre provided valuable information related to cancer and answered question from guests.

Show You Care Fun Run/Walk
On April 20, 2013 over 100 participants braved the winter weather and participated in the 2013 Show You Care Fun Run/Walk at Chinguacousy Park. The event was sponsored by The Running Room and also received support from a number of community businesses including the City of Brampton, National Fitness, Booster Juice, Mosha Yoga Studio, The Keg Steakhouse, Don Cherry's Sports Bar and The Mighty Cobb. Through event participation and donations, the event raised $1500 for Wellspring Chinguacousy's cancer programs.

Circle of Hope Brampton
The 10th Annual Circle of Hope was held on April 22, 2013 at Century Gardens Recreation Centre. Circle of Hope Founder, Nellie Junipero, hosted over 300 guests at the event as well as guest speaker Dr. Suman Chatterjee MD FRCSC, Urologic Oncologist. The 11th Annual Circle of Hope is scheduled for 2014.

Fashion for the Cure
The 12th Annual Fashion for the Cure was hosted by Evie O'Malley on May 5, 2013 at the Devil's Pulpit Golf Association and received support from a number of local businesses. The crowd was filled with beautiful ladies who were treated to a great lunch and a wonderful fashion show featuring clothing from Studio 49. The event raised $6,700 which will support Wellspring Chinguacousy cancer programs.

Background: Bruce Bevil's sister-in-law, Sandra Bevil, a member of Wellspring is the inspiration for his challenge. Just one month after her wedding, at age 36, she was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Since then, she has been in the fight of her life. Bruce wants Sandra and other families that have a loved one suffering from this devastating disease to know that others care about them and want to help support them and find a cure for cancer.

7th Annual Sled Ride of Hope
The weekend kicked off with a Friday night Meet and Greet at the Real Muskoka Steamboat Museum from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Over 65 riders gathered to register and enjoy a prize raffle, with food provided by Boston Pizza.
On Saturday, family and advanced rides were led by the OFSC Host Club Snowcrest Riders who supplied guides for both groups, followed by a buffet dinner at the Regatta Steak and Seafood Grill.
2nd Annual Light Up Wellspring Campaign
The Wellspring Chinguacousy Foundation would like to thank everyone who helped brighten the holidays for people living with cancer and made our 2nd annual Light Up Wellspring campaign such a tremendous success. We are pleased to announce that because of you, we surpassed our minimum goal of $15,000 and raised a total of $28,000. Proceeds will help maintain funding for 27 cancer support programs that are offered free of charge

It was a real community effort, thanks to our lead sponsor ($5,000), TD Waterhouse, lighting sponsors (Hydro One Brampton and GPM Enterprises), media sponsor (The Brampton Guardian), tree sponsors ($1,000 Level: Marian Sheard and family, and Rotary Club of Brampton – Heart Lake and $500 Level: Brampton Fire & Emergency Services, Brampton Professional Fire Fighters Association, The City of Brampton, Brian and Susan Corbett, Nelly Golden and in honor of Barbara Dubenofsky) , all the volunteers who donated household items, baked goods or pots of chili to our holiday bazaar, our generous silent auction donors, 43 community partners, and all the individuals and organizations that purchased bulbs or strings of lights.
The holiday bazaar was a new addition to the Lighting Ceremony event held on December 1st and contributed $4,100 to total campaign revenues. A special thanks to our Holiday Bazaar Committee: Michelle Adamski (Co-Chair), Elaine Minutillo (Co-Chair), Cathy Allen, Martha Strong, Karen Nichols, Linda-Lee Hall and Claudia Garcia.
