Cancer Exercise

One of the most exciting advances in improving the outcomes and patients living with cancer has nothing to do with new medications or treatments – it is good old-fashioned exercise. Recent research is showing that exercise can benefit some patients in many specific ways, including: secondary prevention, symptom management, improved treatment compliance, improved emotional well-being, improved quality of life and improved overall fitness, stamina and flexibility.

Open to all patients diagnosed with cancer both on treatment or recently post treatment and features the following:

  • Leadership by a team of qualified and trained cancer exercise specialists
  • Personalized physical fitness assessment, and personalized exercise plan
  • Consent from oncologist to ensure safety
  • Twice weekly exercise sessions for 10 weeks
  • Updated personal exercise plan at completion of the program
  • Opportunity for reassessment six months later
  • A special exercise session for patients with prostate cancer
